IAFF Local 4229 represents the career firefighters and firefighter/paramedics of Clark County Fire District 12. Fire District 12 serves the cities of Ridgefield and La Center, as well as the dividing I-5 corridor. Local 4229 was formed in June 2001 by our three founding members, Captain Brett Graham, Captain Max Konkright, and Captain Paramedic Eamonn Ryan. Since that time, Local 4229 has increased it’s membership to eleven brothers / sisters:

1 Probationary Firefighter
1 Captain promoted out of union to rank of Battalion Chief
05-25-2008 NEWS: With
the recent consolidation of Clark County Fire Districts 11 and 12,
Local 3674 and Local 4229 have also merged, bringing our total number of union
firefighters to 33. Come August, the total number will increase to 37. Please refer to Local 3674's website for further information: www.iafflocal3674.org
